Welcome to 6th Grade at Southern Boone Middle School!
Entering 6th grade is very exciting for students, and we as a staff are excited to work with them! Sixth grade is a transitional year for both students and parents. Students begin to feel more independence as they navigate their way from class to class, use lockers, and also have a chance to participate in specific subject areas such as band, choir, art, and industrial technology. This is also a time where students adjust to their new independence and the demands of being a middle schooler. As a team of teachers we are dedicated to helping ease the transitions for our 6th grade students and families.
On this webpage you will find important information about team policies and procedures, as well as general information about each core subject area. Please check our calendar for important dates and events happening in the 6th grade hallway!!
Thanks,
6th Grade Teachers

Education is a partnership between home and school. We
value parent involvement at every level and encourage you to partner with us. In order for this partnership to be effective, we need to be able to communicate. Please feel free to call, write a note, or e-mail us if you have concerns or questions about your child’s education. We are always available to schedule a conference to discuss any issue or concern you have regarding your middle school student. If you have a question or concern related to a specific teacher or class please make an effort to contact that teacher before contacting the office for the most immediate resolution. |
